There is plenty of expertise needed in the design and layout of Loading Bays. A significant amount of planning and thought are required in order to provide for the smooth loading and unloading of large tractor trailers into a commercial or industrial building. Often times there will be a need for special drainage, retaining walls, dock levelers, locks, electrical work with the doors, and underpinning of existing foundations. It is also important to provide for special ventilation requirements, and to ensure that fork lifts and dock personnel have the room they need to move cargo and materials safely.
